  • Calling All Volunteers

    The Board of Directors put together an excellent Program of Work to guide our upcoming efforts and we want to invite our members to get involved in helping us accomplish more for our members and our community. Here is a line up of the Committees & Task Forces for which we are recruiting:

    Chamber Ambassadors  

    The Ambassadors are the 'welcoming committee' for the Chamber and we're getting ready to revitalize them. They will visit new members, call on current members and help us serve as hosts at Chamber events.Commitment: Monthly meetings, various events as able to attend.  

    Business Advocacy
    This Committee will be reviewing our advocacy/endorsement policy, overseeing our elected officials speaker series, and reviewing other potential roles for the Chamber to play when it comes to Advocacy opportunities.    Commitment:Most likely monthly meetings, various elected official events.
    Business Expo  

    This committee will meet to oversee and help plan for the Chamber's Annual Business Expo. This includes selecting venue, date, time; help with recruiting vendors; selecting a theme; and helping us to reenergize this annual event. Commitment:Monthly meetings from September - April. 

    Facilities & Technology
     This committee will provide guidance and advice to the Board on the building and technology operations of the Chamber. This will include help in recommending, soliciting bids and selecting vendors to make physical changes to the building and our technology.  Commitment: Periodic meetings throughout the year
    Member Services & Benefits  

    This committee will oversee member services and benefits being delivered by the Chamber. New Member Benefits would be presented to them and they would also help with retention of current members Commitment: Monthly Mtgs. 

    Rebranding Task Force
    This short-term assignment will help guide the Chamber as we rebrand our look. This will include overseeing the creation of a new logo, slogan, and website for the Chamber as well as reviewing all of our communication tools for efficiency and effectiveness.  Commitment: This group will be meeting often for about the next 6-12 months and then disband after that.
    Small Business of the Year  

    Overseeing the Small Business of the Year event.  This year that includes: garnering nominations, reviewing applications, selecting the winner. We will also be reviewing all the steps of the process and making any needed changes to the event.   Commitment: Meeting at least monthly from August - December
